Low boost after downpipe and gfb dv install.
I have a 2011 N55 135i.
Yesterday I installed a go fast bits diverter valve and a shiftech downpipe onto my car. Current mods prior to the install where jb4, bms intake, and bms short throw shifter. After installing the parts on the car the car had zero boost. Pulled the diverter valve off the car and found that it had crushed one of the seals. Replace the seal and put the diverter valve back on and the car would build approx 4 to 5 lbs of boost max. Removed the gfb bov and and still no change. Right now I am at a loss and can not figure out what is going on with my car. Anyone have any suggestions?

Any codes?
Downpipe flange seated properly? Vband tightened and the bolt not obstructing the wastegate actuator arm? Sensors in the right places?

Ended up getting a new gasket and reseating the charge pipe. I do believe the charge pipe wasnt sealed all the way. The old gasket was shot to hell. The o2 sensors are hooked up correctly. I labelled them when i disconnected them to avoid mixing them up then i uninstalled and reinstalled them one by one. As far and i can tell no the actuator is not contacting the vband clamp. I saw that was comment on n54s but i didnt notice that i was and issue on the n55s.
As of now the car is build more boost after the new gasket. But it seem sluggish personally. Like its taking longer to spool and hit max boost. I waa wondering if it could be that im still on the stock fmic so its causing a restriction? |

I'm very curious to see how this pans out.
Btw, I read another forum with similar complications where he needed to reinstall his JB4. Not sure what that would affect - maybe adaptations? I assume you had your battery disconnected during the CP and DP install.

I assume you've cleared those codes and tried again.
Perhaps look into your VANOS bolt? I've read of it causing 2C58.. I ran your VIN and the recall wasn't performed.

Installed the new fmic and charge pipe today. Problem is still existing. Setup an appointment at bmw to have the VANOS bolt recall perform. I finally got a data cable for my jb4 today so in the next couple of days ill try to run a log and post it here.

So update. Took the car to bmw today. Apparently my car did have the Vanos Bolt upgraded but it was never updated on the VIN. Decided I didnt want to take the car to the dealer with thw jb4 and intake installed so i removed them. To my surpise the car ran prefect. No reduced power mode. Car didnt even throw a code for the catless downpipe. Decided to reinstall the jb4 and intake and the car straight woke up. I dont know what happened but the car definitely seem to be running the way it should now. No reduced power mode and pulls hard.
