JB3 vs JB4, how can I tell?

Hey guys, so my cars only a few months old to me, and when I purchased it I was told it had a JB4. Well, I have no steering wheel controls but it seems to have code clearing, as it has catless downpipes. I thought it was JB3 since they didn't have the steering wheel controls, but I guess they don't have code clearing either? Been doing a little digging, and now I'm just confused as they seem really similar in the harnesses, and the box looks the same so I don't friggin know haha.

Anyways, here's a picture of the bugger. Also, there's the one wire coming off it not plugged into anything, anyone know what it is?

That's a JB3. I'm not too familiar with them, but digging around the net brought me to this resolution. Also, it's an older version as it does not have the pin-out on the opposite side of the box.

Look at step 12 for your answer to the disconnected plug.

Perfect, thank you! I had no luck finding this stuff, I didn't even know you could map swap on a JB3. Time to go play with it.

Edit: Pedal map thing definitely works, JB3 100% confirmed. Also, holy fuck 2PSI makes a huge difference.

Glad to hear the mystery is solved. If you're in the Seattle area, maybe I'll see you around in my Alpine White '08.
