VTT Stage 2+ or GC Lite?
Anyone running VTT stage 2+ or their GC lite turbos? My turbos are shot, so I might as well upgrade.
I haven't found a lot of information on the GC lite turbos, but they are supposed to spool better than factory and keep power to redline. That said, they are $1000 more than the stage 2+. Any reason to go with Pure or RB over the VTT's? |

AFAIK gc lites aren't in stock i know someone who's been waiting since November.
wouldn't bother with the s2+, the manifolds on the gc series are a huge improvement not too mention you can swap/upgrade turbos in the future without taking off the manifolds. I'm also considering gc lites but am waiting for some reviews before i pull the trigger. yet to see anything besides what vtt has posted. |

From the dyno graphs I've seen, it looks like the 2+'s hold power up top better, but its soo hard to tell without looking at them side by side. |

If you're going to buy hybrids, buy Pure. VTT is just the first to come out with a cast option. Don't bother with vtt2+. I believe MMP has a cast option, and Frankenturbo will be releasing their cast turbos soon as well.
I haven't seen any 3rd party dyno sheets for VTT GC/GClite yet, while not overwhelmingly worrying, would give me pause.

VTT are making lofty claims with the GC Lites which is why our intrest is peaked. Seems most of us are waiting for someone to step up and try them 3rd party.

So basically, the claims are lofty, and they probably aren't typical results. Or they could be, but there's no confirmation without their one off fuel system

Different turbo design and frame. Pure are stock frame, GC/GC lite are cast. VTT has a truly terrible reputation when it comes to reliability and customer service. Pure is unbeaten. Hence why people buy Pure. Not to say the GC product isn't good, but there's a substantial dearth of 3rd party information overall about them.

All I can find is people think he is a dick. Usually the ones whom didn't follow installation procedure. I couldn't care less if he has intolerance for ignorance, because quite frankly, neither do I. All I care about is if his product works, and works as advertised. Just my 2 cents on the subject of his disposition.
If I wanted a stock frame turbo, I'd probably go with RB and a known reliable quantity. Unfortunately I don't. |

There is no proof that VTT GC turbos will last any longer than their previous products, so id wait. Unless you like to gamble with your money. My comments have nothing to do with his disposition (which we agree is garbage), but how he will literally say ANYTHING to get out of admitting its his hardware that failed. So, again, until 3rd party dyno sheets and logs come out for GC line turbos, no one knows if they work as advertised. VTT seems to be trying to operate more professionally now since Tony hired Chris. So that's promising too.

I completely agree. I had not heard of the problems with RB. I am a relative newcomer here, so only know what I've read so far.. whatever I'm not going with RB anyways so.... on to someone whom has experienced the GC lites... thats not a vendor please....

Well at any rate, I bought them, so ill do a full review and hopefully a dyno graph to show how they perform. I did find a 3rd party who installed them and was running just pump gas 93, witch showed good results.
Now you guys got me worried about buying them. From what I've seen, people seem to like his product but not him, haha. They must be ok, as they are carried by **********s, and ECS tuning, witch is good. |

Not sure if I'm going to run E85 yet, but I will get getting a Fuel-it stage 2, turbo inlets and outlets, and FBO... Probably just run a JB4 and see how it does, and get a dyno tune later. |
