Simple question: Can you run 245/40s or 255/35s in the rear?

Can you run 245/40s or 255/35s in the rear without rubbing? I have the stock wheels and suspension with the M-sport package. Want to run Star Specs, which don't come in a 245/35.

Thanks

Man.... 30 minutes of reading through 'search' results with no clear answer, then I see it in one of the FAQ above. How I missed that the first time I'll never know. Still would like to know others experiences...the Star Specs seem to run a little wide vs. some tires

I've been looking at this setup for the rears as well and I've seen people get the 255/35 Star-Specs under the rear at stock height with no issues.

Am aware wheels are different,..but the Rear tires im running are 255 / 35's which is what LA was lookin for.
I understand they are diff offsets, but as long as the 255 tires fit onto the stock rims, then the offsets on the factory wheels should provide even more clearance than the ET50 offset Im running in the rear.

not always...

The Star-Specs actually measure wider than other brands o the same size. There is also the issue of suspension clearance with regard to tire width and fitment in some cases.
