"haha are you actually comparing Griots to Dodo? Griots is entry level detailing.... "
haha... and you pay how much for this super duper dodo stuff? to each his own, there are hundreds of car waxes out there. Which one is better is very subjective. |

First off, there is a difference in "ive been waxing cars for 25 years and detailing cars for 25 years" waxing isnt detailing, I mean full correction of the paint. and yes there might be little difference in $30-$80 wax...but there is more difference from $80 to say $175 etc...
on a side note zanio is probably the best synthetic sealant out there for the money...atm

I use it before Wax and as far as steps.... Wash Clay - I am currently using Sonus Green Clay with CG SQD as lube Polish - Most Abrasive to least Abrasive (i.e. Super Intensive Polish to PO106ff) Glaze Sealant - I use CG Jet Seal 109 (not the as good as Zanio as far as protection, but looks better IMO) Wax

J-Sub, Can wax or speed detailer be used over the top of Zaino? I was told it could by the Zaino distributor here in Australia as Zaino don't make their own wax.
Wouldn't this mean that the whole lot would need to be stripped if reapplying Zaino again as Zaino won't stick on wax. |

Honestly, I would only use Zanio with zanio. Plus zanio is a very good sealant and is a better protectant than wax and will last a lot longer. And he is correct that if you add wax it wont stick correctly, the different zanio prodects bond to each other creating a final protecting layer. Even their quick detail has this property if im not mistaken. A buddy of mine uses the system and I honestly dont think it needs to be topped with wax it is good protection as is.

and yes I would recommend stripping the car then applying Zanio....there are some people who do apply wax over zanio, but if you want to reapply it, I again would recommend stripping the car again.

depends on how long you go between waxes....wax doesn't last very long...any where from 2 weeks to 2 months-ish if you are really lucky. So even if you don't strip the car before hand if you have some considerable time between waxes then no you arent really waxing over the old.....the old is pretty much gone.
