So us with mods should wait until stage 2 is done?
"Using Stage 1 mapping with modifications that will significantly alter breathing characteristics of the engine (such as deletion of the catalytic converters or the installation of aftermarket downpipes) is not reccomended at this time. Undesirable performance may result."
http://www.accessecu.com/accessport/...AccessPORT.pdf

"Stage 2: Under development"

Awesome website by the way! Very helpful and organized.

because they may be targeting a certain AFR for max performance, by adding breather mods, like exhaust and DPs you may lean it out too much and it may not adapt properly

not sure how this is affected by the oem ecu trying to adjust

just a thought

The AP has a potential to be great, the numbers look ok. If the actual gains are w/ in 40-60 rwhp think this will be a great success, specially if it can be removed w/ out a trace for dealer service or warranty work

Do you have a map for cars with the BMW Performance Power Kit? A PPK N54 is nearly the same as what is in the 335is (but without the overboost feature). I am too far from TX but would be willing to travel down to SoCal with my PPK equipped car.

*** UPDATE ***

We found an issue in the calibration that was used on the 135i that prevented the power gains that everyone was expecting. The calibration has been updated and the 135i will be back on the dyno this afternoon. We should have a dyno graph with power gains that are more in line with what we are seeing on the 335i posted later today.

Thanks!

Gary

Maybe i missed this, but must the accessport always be plugged into the odb port or once flashed, you can remove the accessport?

Once you flash the car, the AccessPORT does not need to stay connected unless you plan on using it as a gauge/monitoring device.

How about a time frame for the ProTuner interface so it can tweaked for any setup?

Bingo.

On some platforms, removing all catalysts creates huge boost spikes (even with 0% WGDC) and other turbo overrun conditions (boost creep, over boost, etc.). This can also cause ECU logic to switch to less than optimal operations...by design.

We will do our best to communicate our findings as to what are the best bang for the buck combination. We generally try to help guide AccessPORT users towards what modifications we find to be most effective according to the dyno and other data.

Christian.

Seeing that the 335 had twice the power gain in HP/TQ any chance that the numbers stated were N54 vs N55...sorry I am sort of joking, I just can't understand how the 335 gets 30% increase vs a 13% increase on the 135, doesn't make sense to me...

Regardless I will be looking out for the N55 release, my brother just got a AP on his 2011 STI and he loves it!
