Who is financing their ED, but no through BMW?
I can't find the info on financing and ED pickup-there was a previous thread. I don't want to be tied to BMWNA if I can get 4.75% at BoA with a 815 credit rating. Is the problem the title, which may take 90 days to be issued from date of purchase?

I'm starting to call around to see what I can do. Pentagon Credit Union does 4.99% (penfed.org). Anyone can join for about $30, and they'll do an ED car.
That said, my salesman originally said they could do 6.5% through BMWNA on a 1-Series, but after I told him I could get 4.99, he was confident they could beat that. |

I went and test drove the 135i and the M3 last week and talked to the salesperson at BMW Seattle about ED options. Both are possible but there is not rebate on the M3. I am probably planning to do an ED on a 135i (probably) or an M3 (maybe), later in the year. In any case, the salesperson said that the only financing option available for ED is thru BMW Financing.
Is this correct? Have people financed their ED thru other institutions without too much hassle from BMW? Thanks |

I was just skimming the penfed.org site - do I have to be a government employee or military to be able to join?

You don't have to be either. There is an organization you can join for $30 dollars in order to qualify for membership.

The NMFA requires a yearly fee. HOWEVER you do NOT need to continue to enroll in the NMFA in order to keep your loan with PenFed. At least, that's my understanding.
