Will a dealer let me order a Dakar Yellow 135i?

I have searched the forums and see people referring to the different P1 interior options. Will a dealer allow me to select an individual color option as well? All info and help is appreciated.

Yeah I own an e36 Dakar Yellow M3 so I wanted to carry on the tradition. I have seen an e92 Dakar 3 series picture on the web somewhere, so wasn't sure how they got that color.

I've only heard that you can order any color in the current BMW line-up but that it costs big bucks. I've never heard that its possible with past BMW colors, though.

Yes, you probably can. I've seen quite a few Darkar Yellow and Estoril Blue E46 M3s. I've also seen these colors on non-Ms like 330i and X5. In fact, I have a friend who ordered an Aegean Blue E46 M3 with Kiwi interior through BMW individual program. You just have find a CA who is in the know to pull some strings. It'll probably be extermely difficult, but it can be done. Be prepared to shell out big bucks though. I believe the paint is a $2K option and probably the same for interior.

I tried, unsucessfully, to get the 1 in Imola. I was told that since the 1 is so new, custom colours aren't being offered just yet. Should they ever offer custom colours, the price I was quoted was $2000.

I love yellow cars but the car has to have the right shape to pull it off and I don't think the 1-series has it.

I would be all over a yellow 135. IMO, the colors they have on pretty much all BMW products now are too bland. No need for 3 or 4 shades of grey.
