i have it. i think it could be the grease and dirt from the door jambs that drip down this drain point and when i wash this happens. i just run over it with quick detailer and it goes away

anyone have it come out of the center of your trunk?
smack center, onto the bumper: my baby oozed some sort of adhesive goo onto my bumper.

Yes - sounds like we all have it. But does anybody know where it comes from? Oil and grease must have a source - it can't continue forever. Who here has had this for many years? Anybody?

I have an 09' that still does it. My door jams are flawless so I have no idea where it comes from, however it seems to be a persistent problem.

My neighbor found a solution like this for corvettes taillights that dripped after washing.

If you open the doors after a wash/rinse, you will notice that the water drains from the bottom of the door. Takes about 30 seconds to drain. I usually dry the roof, then open the doors to let them drain while I dry the rest of the car. This helps a bit, but the streaks comes back as soon as the car is caught in the rain. If you're crazy enough to get done and look at the bottom of the door, you'll be shocked at how much water and soap residue is left on the inside bottom of the door after rinsing.

I just think of the streaks as a low tech reminder to wash the car.

I had it but I wiped the grease off the holes and around the holes (two doors and trunk) and I don't have it anymore. The grease is still there, but not enough to leak down the door onto paint.

I have an 08 and its been happening since day one. Always wondered why..I usually just pay more attention to that area when I wash it. My car is white which definitely doesn't help. Also, during the first year I had some strange yellow waxy stuff coming out near the front roundel and the kidney grilles.
