Clear Indicators for US Spec

I went to my dealer today, they had a 3 Series Launch party. They had about 7 cars on the lot, and we test drove both a 330 and a 325i again.

As i examined the headlight assembly for the first time. It does seem that the amber colored reflector snaps in place, which means that it looks like it can be removed. You need to open up your hood and then look at the assembly, that's the only way you can see it.

Does anyone have a service manual for the E90 yet? This has given me a lot of hope; i'm probably going to take the headlight apart next weekend when i pick up my baby.

Also, Sapphire Black does look amazing, i saw it for the first time on the e90 today.

I will post pictures and a video tomorrow.

Nathan

Hmmm. I think the Euro has a white reflector. I should have a parts CD tomorrow that covers all of this stuff. I wonder if the white reflector is available for install? I may get motivated this weekend to check it out - or it may be flywheel time.

We get cars with the white reflector std. It'd be cool on some colours to get the yellow. I want the smoked breaklights for the back of my car when they come out...if they not TOO expensive!

BAD NEWS

Sorry to say, but this looks very much like just one part.

Not even available unless you buy the whole unit (which is on another slide of the ETK)

This is the Euo version btew. (Not that you could tell in b/w :-))

I bet the headlight unit isn't easy to unassemble, they probably used that black glue stuff that's incredibly sticky and completely hardens when not warmed up.

And even if you do get it apart. If you can´t order the part you want to replace, you´re bust. Unless someone offers it aftermarket. But that could take a while.
