yeah im waiting on those numbers to come out. Shouldnt the mileage be similar to the 3 series numbers and arent those around 20 city and 30 highway? Will the numbers be better for the 1s because of the different setup/weight or will they be pretty close?

I'd just as good if not a tad better due to the reduced weight.

Someone else will have to chime in on that one because I couldn't tell you.

The GTI is still a little boy racerish, whereas the A3 seems a bit more refined IMHO.

Who knows - maybe even a Mini Clubman might be an option for you. A Mini with a suicide door on the passenger side - so a 2.5 door.

Does anyone else think this is going to just flop? Not only flop, but bring down the resale value on the regular mini's?

I just dont see a market for it, I hope they are not producing that many, maybe it'll sell in a very small number...

Ah yeah. There are some fun roads up there. I feel your commute pains. I live in Atlanta and work in Greenville. I85 gets kind of boring after you've driven it 40 times. I've been using my civic to commute to save my bimmer. But I don't have a "divide" to drive up. I can just set the cruise and ... well ... cruise.
