What do you think of this tire setup?
Michelin Pilot Super Sport:
Front: 245/35/19 Rear: 295/30/19 Car is mostly a street/daily driver with the rare occasion I might take to a track (which I haven't done yet). Stock fronts don't rub and I believe from reading the threads here that 295/30's on the back should be pretty good as well. Thoughts? |

thats going to understeer quite a bit, and will not be well balanced
IMO if you are going to do that, i would go with 265/30 fronts however, a better option would be running a 255/35 275/35 setup. (not certain that 255/35 wont rub, if it will, then just run 245/35 fronts) 295 IMO is too wide for 10 inch wheels, ditto for 265 on a 9 inch wheel |

its ideal for handling to have a little bit of stretch to firm up the sidewall response, and IMO the 255/275 combo is PERFECT for 9/10 inch wheels, it is ideal fitment. i currently run re11 in 245/265 (also track my car) and plan to upsize to ad08 255/275 for my next set when i roast these. |

255/35/19 – Front 275/35/19 – Rear There's no issues with a 255/35 front in terms of rubbing? That's the only reason I was trying to keep the fronts stock sizes. |

Even so, if there is I'd still recommend a 275/35 rear even if you go with 245/35 fronts |

You need camber plates if you think you are going to fit 255 up front...

FWIW, I am running 265/285 (with apex wheels and different offsets; stock camber) and I rubbed for a bit at full lock until I wore the tires a little, now no rubbing at all. If you don't mind a slight rub then I think you can do a 255/275 setup on the stock 19s no problem. I know people have gone bigger than that. |

i cant see how a 255 will rub that bad compared to a 245, its only .2 inches taller. i also have my car lowered about .75 inches in the front and .5 inches rear and run re11 in stock sizes (run wide) and have had zero rubbing even with a car full of people. i plan to try out 255 next. its also hard, as you mention, to compare an apex wheel with oem since the offsets are much more aggressive in the front coupled with wider wheels |
