March 1st 2012 changes?
Hi, new member here, been reading for a little while though. Getting ready to order a 135i coupe soon, but just noticed that Montego blue and Marrakesh brown are no longer available on the website... not for sure that I would order one of those, but just want to know my choices. Anyone know anything about that?
Also, when do you think we'll know what is happening for MY2013? (or if there will be one...) |

Interesting, but things have dropped out and reappeared before on the web site. Your best source is the Dealer. If it doesn't show up on his software he can't order it. As for what is in the future. BMW is one of the more tight lipped companies releasing exactly what the marketing department wants released when they want it released, they're almost as good as Apple at that game! Check out this link for a current guess.

One other change is the Anthracite wood trim. I really wish that had been an option when I ordered back in January. Looks pretty good when I put it with my Terracotta interior.

Any news on the end of production date for the E82 coupe? If it really is March 2012 as has been said then we must be getting close to them taking final orders. If so then I need to get cracking...

EOP is 06/12 so place an order now if you want one.
After 02/12 production Montego Blue is gone and so is the grey poplar wood trim. Marrakesh brown I haven't heard anything about but it's gross anyway. edit: Crimson Red and Marraskesh are also gone after 02/12 |

You can order the trim finish you want from the parts department. I've ordered the satin aluminum, since only glacier silver was available at the time I bought the car. There are instructions with pictures in the DIY section of the forum on how to pop out the original pieces and install the new ones. The only thing you need is some patience and a plastic interior trim tool from the auto parts store (~$5).

Awww. I ordered a Marrakesh brown 135i after seeing it on a 128 on the lot. I would have never thought I would like that color, but seeing it in person ... it was wicked cool. And I won't say what interior colors I ordered, as I am sure I will get killed enough on here ...

My dealer seems to think that there will be another model year after 6/12, but the sales manager also said that Montego Blue was NEVER available on the 1 series, so I don't think he knows much... So, do you think is that fairly concrete now that there will NOT be a MY2013? Or still possible? |

I saw this post (below) on another site, thought it was interesting about 2013 models. I wonder if anything will change?
"Not sure if this applies for all models that are ending 2012 production in June, but I just confirmed the following with the Euro Delivery folks in NJ: "The 2012 135i Cv does end production in June. Customers can take delivery of the 2012 model until the first week of August. The 2013 135i Cv begins production in July. The first delivery date is August 13th."" |

No jack intended:
Speaking of the new anthracite trim (and there was another thread about it, but with no actual images), does anyone have any pictures of it they could share? I ended up ordering it when I placed my order in early February, but still don't know exactly what it looks like. With any luck, I should have my new ride in less than a week, but not knowing what it actually looks like is driving me nuts. When you build a car on the BMW website it doesn't show enough detail to see it clearly.
