So a chick is either gonna buy a chick car (because that's obviously what chicks are supposed to do), or she's gonna buy a non-approved respectable car, but only because she's trying to show off and act like something she's not. Got it.

Before I bought the car new I thought it was a chicks car too. I obv knew what it could do coming from the m3 and driving alot of bmws prior which is why i bought it. You can totally change the look of it from being a soft girls car to a mean aggressive sports car. Which is what I had in mind for it n e ways so its all good. Dont really hear chicks car too much anymore. More thumbs up from car guys or confused looks from ppl not knowing what it is. lol

I get so tired of reading the word "aggressive" on car forums. People need to learn some more adjectives or something, lol.

That's funny though, people here look at me and call me a "bro" because of my car. I also hate how some people think you couldn't afford a 3 series so you got a 1. No.. I got a 1 series because they look a million times nicer. People need to stop hating.

1) street racing is childish and irresponsible. 2) selling your car because you lose said street race is even more childish. There will always be some one faster than you. There are plenty of people with extremely deep pockets.

I could afford a different BMW but I choose the 1er. I could afford a 135 but I choose a 128. I'm married with kids so no comments about my girlie/butch choice of car... Haters gonna hate. Edit: Saw a solo woman driving a LMB 135 coupe with MT this morning. |

Have you tried throwing a "yo mama" joke into the mix? Nothing chaps a guy's ass more than being told how fat or old is mama is.

Agreed. I could have easily gone with something differrent but I liked the compact sportiness and short wheel base of the 135i.

Don't see anything girly about a two door, rear wheel drive, six cylinder, 6 speed manual car (or auto if thats your thing) with over 200HP or 300HP. What is a manly car these days if this isn't it?
If girls like cars like these even better! Maybe I can marry one of these girls and we can both get 1ers guilt free. |

I have never had anyone say that the 1 series is a girls car. I have heard some people mention that a mini cooper is a girls car. which is crap.

1M same bullshit just forged internals and M3 chassis... big whoop, at the end of the day same crap unless you drive on a track to get from A to B... the difference in $ spent between a 35 and an M could be saved in just a moded 35.. just saying. Same as a 335 and M3, a 335 with mods can whoop a M3 and still have $ left in his pocket in comparison. Im not one for arguments and such but ticks me off when someone tries acting big over the amount of money they spent on their car when in reality chances are a person who spent much less can quickly put them in their place.
Going back to OP's point, yea, definitely an insecurity thing on behalf o the friend... so what, a friend has a faster car, not that serious, no sense selling a car and getting something else in order to say you're faster.... chances are you drive a block down from your place and theres someone faster than you, not that serious |
