Wrong Powdercoat?!?... What would u do?
So after waiting about a month for my new wheels from eas... I get the door bell... get the box... cut the box open... rip through the plastic... and... i was speechless...
Anthracite?... how could u possibly confuse "Gloss/Vader Black" with "ANTHRACITE GREY"....... I clearly stated over the phone what i wanted and i get these... They are at least the V710's i ordered, and not something else... Now this just happened 30 minutes ago... and trying to figure out what to do... I have a Jet Black 128i i was putting them on and was going for the blackout look... Dont get me wrong these look really nice... but its not what i wanted... and i dont want to go through another month of waiting. I just wanted MY wheels. What would u do? I could keep them, not exactly what i wanted but could make it work... but then not at the price i paid... or just say screw it and return them... if so, who pays for shipping? Better not be me... |

You asked what I'd do, and as the owner of a Jet Black car, I'd be ecstatic that they sent me anthracite. I'm not a fan of black wheels on black cars and own a set of gunmetal wheels (on my Imola Red car).
But since you wanted black, I'd return them and get what you wanted. Unless you come to your senses. |

Even if you decide to keep the wheels, maybe you can contact eas, tell them you wanted BLACK, but you really don't feel like waiting for weeks and weeks again, don't want to go through the hassle of shipping, etc. They might throw you a partial refund or some other sort of reimbursement. You shouldn't have to wait extra weeks just because of their mistake, so if they offer you something for the trouble, you win in the end. And I think anthracite grey would look great on a black car

Have you given EAS a call? Sounds to be like there was a miscommunication possibly during the finalization of the finishes.

Well although not perfect, that doesnt sound so bad.. a label on the wrong box can do wonders..
a0 just hope neither of you tried to mount the tires on your car for the "lets see" and I hope they survive being shipped 2 more times.. although if both of you just ship to eachother that might be they way to handle it.. EAS can send you the shipping documents overnight.. its the least they can do.
