Fitting 295s with a roll?
I'm looking at ordering a set of 18x9 and 18x10.5 CCWs soon and want to fit the properly sized rubber on the wheels. Is there enough room back there for 285s or even 295s with a good roll?

Maybe if you cut the whole fender off.
I had to get a slight roll to run 255s with no rubbing and that was with high offset wheels.

I actually think it's possible with some work.
Front: - Vorshlaq camber plates - M3 wishbones. - Wheels need somewhere around +37 offset - Remove the screw holding the bumper piece in place that's in the wheel well - Grind out remaining plastic - Roll Fender to flat - 2.5 deg camber Rear - +54 Offset - Wicked fender roll to flat then push the fender out a bit - 2 deg camber I run 255/275 and wouldn't go any wider. Zero rubbing issues, but it's very maxed out without drastic measures. Last edited by fboutlaw; 06-11-2011 at 04:27 AM.. |

I haven't heard about anyone really rubbing on the inside so I guess it's possible. The issue though is you'd need a 50-60 offset wheel which are barely available and then you might still need to add some camber.
What offsets are available with these CCW's?

I am assuming that those would be custom ordered with his desired offset.

should be possible to get a 285/30 back there. i think the offset you'll need in the back will be around 57-60. pair with a 255/35 front and your rolling diameters will be good too. i'd go with 18x8.5 & 18x10, though. a 9" front wheel will hurt your strut clearance, and may cause you to have to use a slightly lower-than-ideal front offset, causing you to have fender issues. 255 should fit in the front with about a 42-45mm offset and a bunch of camber.

I have run various 275/35/18 (Star Spec, NT-01) on my APEX ARC-8s without any issues and no roll at all.

Otherwise it's just a number without any actual handling benefit. It's like peak HP, a meaningless number |

I am compensating for my small pen0r size All jokes aside I am doing this just for appearance purposes. I want a muscle car dragster look with massive stagger. I dislike the stanced stretched scene so no stretching for me.

A 275 on a 9 1/2 or 10" wheel will not be stretched.
You own a 135, you don't need to be a poser and just go for the look of a muscular car when you own a muscular car But I guess that's me. I like to see actual performance benefit when I mod my car |
