Wheel Swap Damage??

I had a local shop swap my winter wheels for my other wheels (Msport Runflats ;staggered). Of course when checking in I told the kid they were staggered and to make sure the "big ones are in the back."

When I picked it up the owner said "You didn't tell me they were different sizes. and when we took it down off the lift, the right front would't spin and it made a horrible noise". So he said he then realized what was wrong and put the wheels in the right places. He said it didn't go any where so nothing is wrong. He took it for a quick spin and turned it over to me.

My question is: Could this mistake have caused any damage - alignment, struts,...? What should I look for?

Update:
Just checked the left rear wheel, as it was wrongly installed on the right front. There is a gouge all around the inside of the wheel, it feels deep and particles fall off as you rub it. I guess it was frozen against the strut when they tried to move the car. Went back to the owner, he said he'd have it fixed by a guy that repairs aluminum wheels. Not sure that will cut it.

Get it in writing that they screwed-up. You may need it in the future if any damage shows up.

Having had wheels that scraped the strut, over time it could potentially be damaged. Nothing happened to my set initially, however they were put under stress that normally they wouldn't see, and as a result I had two barrels crack on me. Not a fun experience. If the gouges you are describing are deep enough, they could potentially have fatigued the wheel in ways that they normally would not be fatigued.

Damn tire shops. Never really check what they're doing.
