Exclamation WTB: AW 1M Stripper, 1-Owner X,XXX Miles

Hello! Well, I'm on the hunt for the next vehicle to pamper and enjoy and after experiencing a 1M I was just blown away. To be honest I had stayed away from it when it came out simply because of the FI. I was a NA purist but now just looking for the fun factor. 1M fits that bill. Hoping someone might know of a car for sale that fits my criteria.

What am I looking for? It's simple, just a bit difficult to find:

- Alpine White
- 0 options (just want standard equipment...don't even want the USB port)
- Manual seats
- 1-owner
- X,XXX miles preferred

I am located in Cincinnati, but the car will end up in South Dakota. Willing travel any distance within the lower 48 for the right car. Trying to avoid travel costs just to keep the overall cost down if possible.

Thanks for the help you guys!

***$500 FINDER'S FEE AVAILABLE***

If anyone can help me locate my ideal 1M based on the criteria above I will offer a $500 Finder's Fee. Might consider a 2-owner car and might consider a bit more mileage, but I will not budget on the options and the Finder's Fee will go down a little to make up for those (2) items. I have a lead on a car about 90 miles from me but the seller isn't in a rush to sell. Aside from that car I have no other leads and hope you guys can help.

I have just what you're looking for - prepping for sale very soon.

BUT, I'm north of the border.

So it is in fact a Canadian spec car, yes? Not a US car that was brought over?

Bumping this up! (2) cars have been sold to pick up the perfect 1M so cash is ready! Hopefully there will be no regrets selling those cars.

Will offer a $500 finder's fee to anyone who helps locate my ideal 1M (must follow through with purchase in order to collect the finder's fee).

Bumping this up to the top. Had 2 potential candidates, but no sale. Ready to pay for the right car!

This just came up on ebay --> http://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-1-Series...m=381322981757

If the mileage is correct, I highly doubt you'll find lower anywhere.

And?

He's looking for a pretty specific car and talks like he is ready to spend some coin.

I also just looked in the registry and it is #586 --> https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...YK&pli=1#gid=0

You did state "i highly doubt it'll be found lower anywhere" without knowing the reserve. It could of been 100k for all we know.

I know his options are specific, but i'd say 70k is still steep.

Mileage, mileage, mileage.
Lower mileage anywhere. I don't see how that wasn't clear.

OP states he's looking for very low mileage and as far as I'm finding this is nearly the lowest mileage out there and currently on the market.

Thanks guys! Yeah, I'm aware of this car. I believe it's for sale for $70K. I feel at $70K, there would be quite a bit of unnecessary money thrown away.

Now the most important thing to me is the 0 options. I would rather have a 10K-20K mile car with 0 options than a 2K mile car with 3 or 4 options. Definitely looking for a true stripper. If there's any option that would NOT be a deal breaker, that would be the USB port. Aside from that, just want a clean build sheet.

I have close to what you are looking for with a few "flaws" (below). Let me know if you have any interest. I have been back and forth on selling.

My options include HK Sound and a USB port, but that is it.

14,000 miles, 3rd owner, but the second owner only owned it for ~2 months and put about 1,000 miles on it before trading in for a new M3.

Thanks for the post! Mileage isn't too bad, but just not ready to pull the trigger on any options beyond the USB port and a car with over single ownership just yet. I appreciate you reaching out though! Good luck with your sale.

You could (and this would take a few hours) simply run every 1M VIN (using the archive tool) to find out how many true strippers there are. Then do some sleuthing (with a CarFax account) to find out how many/who the owners are/make an unsolicited offer on the handful of one owner AW strippers that might exist.

I have obtained the VIN list of all of the true AW strippers out there. So the first step is done. I didn't even think about Carfax though. That's a great idea. However, even if I locate the car, I'm not going to be able to track down the owner. I would only have the location, right? Unless I'm missing something?

Via CarFax, look at where it's serviced (almost certainly a BMW dealer). Call that dealer, ask for a sales manager and offer them $500 to source the car.
