Check out this intake system

i snapped these pics this past weekend at MFest IV on a 335, does anyone have any info on it? looks like it could be 1 off

I saw that too and was like WTF. I haven't seen that intake on any N54's before.

I'm not sure I understand what they're trying to do here. It doesn't make a lot of sense to move the air filter closer to the turbos where there's even more heat under the hood, unless you're completely eliminating the wraparound tubes.

Me either.. that area of the engine is one of the hottest.. my mechanic said he burnt himself putting his hand there while doing something.. with the hood closed haha.. I think thats were the oil cooler is located or something. Hence the air going in from there is the hottest within the engine space I would think.
