Coupe Roof Bars - Not your usual question
Thinking of getting a set of BMW roof bars when I get my 135i coupe. Boot\Trunk bumper option is too expensive.
I won't be using them all the time. I'll put the bike in the boot when it's just me and if I am giving someone a lift I'll stuck the roof bars on. Couple of questions. 1- How long does it take to fit\remove? 2- Any protective clear vinyl provided to protect the paint? 3- When they aren't on, are there clips etc that cover the gap? 4- Any close up pics? Thanks in advance. Graeme |

I think that got answered for you
The process is annoying, but not too hard. You have to fold up the 4 flaps, screw something into a hole inside each one, then carefully put the rack on top, then tighten some bolts to hold it down. Not too hard, but I would say it's nearer 10 mins on and off. I do it regularly with my ski rack, and by regularly I mean on and off multiple times a week. Tim

Thanks guys.
I was concerned it the bar tucked in under the door frames or the rear quarter window, they really are a pain to remove. I'll get a set ordered I think when I get my car. G |
