Would you PLEASE stop with your bullshit?!

This is an issue that happens to completely stock N54s on a regular basis. The fact that is ALSO happens to cars with piggybacks on them doesn't have a damn thing to do with it. Your constant bashing is tiring. Don't blame the piggybacks for the fact that you overpaid for a more conservative tune.

Becareful. The symptom of when the Jb3 is having power supply issues are when your driving along and suddenly the car goes into the worst limp mode every. Like it was running on 2 cylinders, can bearly move under its own power. Map 1.3+ use more power than the older JB3's can supply and when this happens the Jb3 cuts out and the BMW ECU freaks out because it looses connection to the sensors. (Never JB3's have this problem fixed)

BMS will send you a capacitor to solder onto your JB3 if you have this problem which stabilizes the power supply.

Happended to me about a month ago. 2 of the worst limp modes ever in 48 hours. Capacitor from BMS fixed everything.

Quote from Terry @ BMS

"The new 1.3 software draws a lot more power and a few cars have needed this cap soldered to the JB3 board to stabilize the power supply. If you need it you'll know.

New JB3 boards already have it in place, and the DB9 boards don't need it."

Please also note a misfire code by its self can mean bad fuel, bad plugs, boost to high.

I dont want anyone to get wrong impression, misfire codes can happend for a lot of reasons, the power supply issue results in a HORRIBLE LIMP MODE and all sorts of random codes.

That issue would be obvious at installation. It sounds to me like he's been running the JB3 for a while, and is now having problems.

If there was a power supply problem it would be accompanied by a 2ABC code, not a misfire code. Details people. Sounds like a faulty fuel pump, injector, coil, or plug. Remove mods and take it in.

I was running into 1.4 9A4 issues too. random 30FF codes at cruising speeds(boost leak) when everything was airtight. I went back to 1.3, everything's well again!

OP's issue has been determined to be a fuel pump. Long cranks and fuel pump codes with JB3 disabled. AFAIK he had the same issue on 1.3 and tried the new beta maps out of desperation.

There haven't been any reports of 30FF on any of the beta maps yet, so that sounds isolated to your car. Get in touch with BMS I'm sure they would like the beta feedback and can help you figure it out. The most common cause of 30FF is a boost leak. It means the car is not building up boost fast enough. There were a few reports of 30FE (building boost too fast) on BETA_9A2 which were fixed in BETA_9A4.
