Question to fellow 1ers

I have been tossing around the idea of selling my 135i for a 4 series, is anyone on the same boat as I?

Before I bought an X3 I was trying to convince my wife that trading in my 135i for an M4 was a good idea.

Buying the X3 shows I didnt do very good in the persuasion dept on that one, lol.

The 4 series looks great. Either a 428 or a 435 would be a nice car im sure, but its really all in what you are looking for. I like that the 135i is a small sport coupe that has more power than people expect and is super nimble. The 4 series still has good power but its bigger and is just a different drive all together.

As much as I like the looks of the 4-series, I am fairly concerned with its weight and price. It is bigger than the 3-series, it is bigger than the current 3 coupe, and it will be priced accordingly. Its like the 6 to the 5. Even if they manage to keep the weight as low as with the 3 so it might still be the better performer (see reviews M6 vs. M5), it will most definitely clock in way higher pricewise, several grand if not a 10er, as BMW intends to place the 4 not just as a "coupe versrion of the 3" but as a "luxury version of the 3".

Exactly. If I trade it would be for an M3. I want more room not just a huge payment.

have a seat in the current 3 series.....It's Huge!

1 vs. 3 an altogether DIFFERENT driving experience. Not bad different but, different as in level of refinement & sophistication. The one series has Attitude and makes no excuses for what it is.

I expect the 4 series coupe to approach the six series in driving experience but at a lower price point.

I guess I will have tot wait to test drive it and put her to the test...I really love my 135i the way it drives and handles cannot be compared imo.

I have too much invested in my 1 to let her go. Only way would be for an E30M3 or a E30 320is.

Also, I'm still enjoying making M3 and RS 4 and 5 owners cry

I haven't had no Internet for awhile... Is that how it will be or just a render? Looks awesome but don't know if I would trade in my baby for it. Any word on the price tag?

That is a render, the the 4 series looks exactly like the 3 series just 3 door. Also no prices yet, I am sure they will be coming out soon thought.
