lol... chick digs it..

That car did surprise a few ricers in lancers and civics back in the day. It was one of the first "fuel injected" engines and had pretty good torque and low gearing.

Yes Sir - in my case, that pic is even the right colour.

Ours was a Premier - very flash

And to think I used to give my best mate a bad time because he had to suffer the indignity of learning on, and subsequently driving his folks "Walient".

What I didn't appreciate back then was that is was an E38 (lucky bugga).

I've always had a good eye for cars --- NOT!

IT would be the same colour - mine was the standard holden green.
My brother had the yellow one (my father was cruel and he chose our first cars)

I dreamed of having the G Pack. 6 cylinders. Luxury.

My seats were black vinyl with green vinyl stripes. Horrid looking and sticky as in the QLD heat.
First mod I did was to fit some grey cloth seat covers.
The only other seat covers I ever bought were some custom fitted sheepskin ones in my Pajero.
At the time I wondered why you could not buy leather seat covers... but of course, now you can.

Mine where black vinyl with like a corded black inlay/insert..

It was my first car with air cond back in 1982 I think... massive contraption bolted under the dash, the size of a modern day, house split system...

I purchased, when I had to sell my beloved LJ GTR XU1 (308 V8.. and street legal ) to purchase my first house at 22 years young..

I learned on an old F150 circa about 1985 or so. It was an auto, and I learned to drive on part of my grandfathers property we called the field. It was about 10 acres that had a walking path bushhogged out that we maintained. Over the years it became so wide that you could easily drive a truck around it and so that was where I learned.
