BMW Performance short shift kit with stock knob and boot?
Is it possible/worth it to do that?
I'd love to have a short shift kit, but I don't like the knob and boot on BMW performance's kit at all, and love the stock ones on my 135i... |

About the BMW SSK vs others, it is personal taste. I tried the very popular B&M SSK and hated it, but I am totally happy with the BMW SSK. Also ignore some false rumors that I've seen posted, like this nonsense that the BMW SSK sits at an angle. It does not. Sorry for the rant. |

I've been driving with the BMW SSK and stock boot and knob for almost 2 years and nearly 25k miles, after using the stock shifter for the first couple of months. Big improvement, no problems, everything fits and works as it should. VERY happy with it.

so if I install a non BMW ssk would it void the warranty? also, do tischer and unitedbmw sell the short shifter separately from the knob and boot or would I have to get the whole kit and sell the knob and boot? |
