When my dad and I installed my Scopione lip, we used mounting screws for the holes that matched up with the pre-existing ones in the bottom of the bumper (I think there were 6 screws). We then used several plastic anchor snaps for the other holes that are designed to mount the front bumper of a GMC conversion van.

When my dad was laying under the car, after he put the last anchor in, he grabbed the lip with his hand and lifted himself off the ground. The lip didn't budge. Needless to say, I don't think that lip is going anywhere.

Thats good info thanks. I guess that is the advantage of doing things right yourself.

Any more details on your install? Any head on pics? I'm looking for a new lip and your Scopione looks nice.

i didn't hit anything. I think i may have just had a defective piece that wasn't mounted properly causing deflection in the wind.

This is the closest I have at the moment. The install was pretty easy once you line up the ends with the bumper holes. I did have to drill some more holes, and I used the bumper mounting snaps originally for a GMC conversion van front bumper in those added holes. I picked those up at a local auto shop near me (not a chain place) for just a couple bucks. Made the holes slightly smaller than the snap's diameter and they slide right in. Taking this thing off in the future will be a nightmare, lol.

Anyway, to the pic. I think the little "points" on the front leading edge of the lip really make this lip look great.

I don't know what lip that "fxomar" is, sorry.

And actually I do mind...

...because someone already has Here you go. I used all the available holes in the lip to mount it to my front bumper. So its pretty rock solid.

Danke!

Now I just need to figure out where to get the mounting hardware in Germany. Funny that a $700 lip doesn't come with ANY mounting hardware...

I was trying to figure out if it uses screw points behind where the bumper dips or before. I have oil coolers. The link doesn't show what I need.
