Currently on stock M sport suspension ('11 135i M sport). Looking for a moderate drop with comfort as car is my DD. Both springs have good reviews so far. Either will be paired with Bilstein shocks.

Looking to purchase in the next 3-4 months. Eibach or Swift?

Swift has a higher spring rate. In fact, its the highest of any of the stock style springs that I could find, which is why I bought them. No complains with mine

I think it ended up being about a 1" drop, maybe a little less. Sits just right to me.

I have swift and bilstien, my opinion is this is the best spring and shock available for our cars. If you want a more comfortable ride than stock I would use eibach or cobb. I have seen some photos of eibach pro kit that ended up with a rake, which I personally don't like. the few cobb pics I saw looked better and they are the same spring rates.

What is the difference in drop between the Swift and Eibachs?

Would it be possible to run either with slightly wider rubber, i.e. 225/40 Front and 255/35 rear?

I have the Swift Spec R springs and Bilstein HD dampers on my car, see the link in my signature line. For street duty I run 19" wheels with 235/35 front and 265/30 rear tires. Happy to answer any and all questions about them.

@DietTab & @ShocknAwe perfect drops! So it's safe to say that my tires won't rub. Will I need spacers?

@brocklanders got a pic you can share?

Rubbing will depend on your wheel and tire setup. As long as you stay reasonable on tire size and get wheels with 1-series specific offsets then yes, I'd say it's safe to say you won't rub.

I've been meaning to take some photos, I will get some today. regarding the rubbing I am on stock wheels and tires with 1/2" spacers with no rubbing at all, so with a 7.5" front width as long as you keep your offsets around 37mm on 215, and 8.5" wide et 40 with 245 in the back you will be fine. If you want wider wheels or tires just do the math you could even go a little conservative and add spacers later. I personally want to go with a square 18x8.5 et 45 and 245's then measure for spacers to get the perfect stance which in my opinion can be had with swift springs just check out shocknawe's pics.

The B8's are basically the HD's valved for lowering springs. The B8's and matched eibach springs come as package, the B12 pro-kit:

I can't tell you enough how much this kit combined with e93 M3 swaybar transformed my 1er.

I don't have spacers at the moment, just bought a set of 12 and 15 mm. I'll be putting those on soon. No rubbing at all as it currently sits.

Here are the measurements:

Before
DF 23 1/8
DR 23 3/8
PF 23 3/8
PR 23 1/4

After
DF 22 3/4
DR 23
PF 22 3/4
PR 23

Measured from bottom of wheel to fender.
