Will this fit an 09 1er?
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Front-Mount...19.m1438.l2649
I contacted them and some responder named Daisy said it would not, which is BS but not sure, what do you guys think? |

It says in the description that it will fit, but it's an eBay performance part. Kind of taking a risk with stuff like this. I'm willing to bet the core fins aren't nearly as efficient as a smaller, name-brand intercooler. I'd suggest looking for a used one around that price.

N/A engines don't have this problem, BTW.

You call it a problem... we call it an upgrade.

N54 is like that crazy hot girl in your business class. You didn't think you'd have a chance with her, but next thing you know it you two are doing the horizontal mamba. She's got expensive tastes but that doesn't bother you too much. Now the problems start to surface, you wonder if it's worth it, but the sex is just so good. This isn't a problem unless you make it a problem.

I just wish I could've afforded one! They really do seem like best of both worlds. I don't need 800whp, I'd be fine with whatever FBO gave me on N55.

Looks like it will fit N54 cars. LHD 135i doesn't have any fitment concerns like the RHD or 535i does.
That said, if you want a cheap good big fmic, get a cxracing and prepare for cutting. Otherwise, I wouldn't cut costs on the fmic. You're looking at 300+ for a quality unit no matter what you get. Don't buy one without IAT logs backing up claims.

I bought the same as listed in the Ebay add. Fitment was good. Some small mods need for it to fit....
1. The bolt threads each side on the upper part of the cooler need to be removed (they foul) I cut them off with a grinder and ground smooth with a squirt of paint afterwards. 2. On my car 135i 2010 RHD the temp sensor was in the way had to relocate it, which meant front bumper off. grrr Other than the above everything else fitted well, no leaks and temps much better than stock (running MHD stage 2 tune) |
