Couldn't drive the 1er today

It was raining and I spent a couple of hours detailing the car yesterday. So I worked from home . My missus reckons I'm a sad git! Anyone else feel the same way when it rains?

All hot and dry up and down the south coast NSW, as we just returned from a weeks drive from Melbourne up the coast all the way to Kiama and back. Not a drop in sight during the trip - What a great way to drive in the car. I understand the lure of the southern highlands drive now too .
Mileage has now gone from 1K to 4K - and still can't get enough..

The fun of living in Melbourne is that you never quite know when it might rain = when NOT to wash your car

Hah, cracked me up reading this. On Friday I looked at the long-weekend forecast and called my detailer to postpone him a week.

Cleaned the car myself to get the bugs off it from driving up the range and back during the week and sure enough we got rained on big-time on Monday so it's dirty again.

No big deal, Larry's coming to make baby pretty again on Saturday

only my second BMW, but it annoys me even more that my car collects so much dust! and it is so darn noticeable on black... and of course living in Melb, rain + dust = WASHING.

Ah, yah big girl's blouse!

This is how it's done . The creek was actually quite dry compared to how it normally is. Especially after I'd driven across the causeway a few times!

I'm not bothered about driving in the rain; it's just that as I never get time to detail the car I'm darned if I'll get it wet the day after!!!

Even though I like a clean car, it lives outdoors so I'm not precious about the forecast when washing or driving. If it says clean a couple of days or a week, it'll get a full wash every second week anyway.
