So the way it looks is

Resenberg + Munich = U.S. bound cars + maybe EU cars?

Leipzig = EU and UK cars only.

Rosselyn = SA only.

Please do correct if I'm wrong? It would be cool to pick up a car from the Leipzig factory, one of the coolest works of craftsmanship in architecture, hands down. Dont' know how realistic that is though for a U.S. bound car.

My 118i and the 320i are both from Regensburg.

The Leipzig plant was started in 2005 with the production of 4 cylinder versions only.

BMW will increase the capacity in Leipzig from 50.000 cars to 100.000 cars per year - but not only with 4 cylinder versions.

Most Munich and Regensburg cars are for EU, USA market is small when you combine the rest of the world, and isnt even in the top 3 for 3 series sales per country

Leipzig make mostly EU cars at the moment, but will expand in comming years

Most of Rosslyn production are 325i for the USA ( only 325i for USA are produced here, all US 330i come from Germany ). 30% of production is for local South African market, the rest goes to USA, Japan, Australia, Hong Kong and other parts of asia.
