DDM Tuning D1S Bulbs???
Does anyone here have any experience with DDM Tuning's D1S bulbs? Quality? I've been wanting to switch out my stock D1S's with upgraded 6K's and i've been on the look for a while now and today I came across DDM Tuning's site and for the price of their D1S's, $70 is a steal compared to the Bimmian XenoFlo's I had my eye's set on for $189 and JLevi SW's for $159 (which they claim are XenoFLo). PLEASE help me out guys!!! i'm sick of my stock Xenons!!! Should I get them or just save up and get some XenoFlo's??!

nope, they're def. D1S bulbs that we use for our car, there's an option to choose which bulb you'd like and at the bottom there's a link to what each bulb looks like.

Any reason you're set on getting these xenflo. I've never heard of them before. I would recommand maybe looking at the MTEC 6k D1S bulbs. They are like 150 and seem to be great.
Talk to Mike at F1. I've been talking with him a couple weeks ago and will order these from him soon. From what he told me the capsules in the MTEC are OE quality made from GE. And that the ignitors are the same ones from Philips bulbs. |

like I said I would talk to mike at F1 and buy the MTEC 6k
I'm pretty sure the difference between OE quality lights such as MTEC and Philips is that these use better capsules and will last longer than the ones you find on eBay. The MTEC bulbs are like 150 mostly everywhere and should give off a pure white light with maybe a tiny hint of blue. I'm really looking to JUST get rid of any yellow in my xenons that the stock bulbs give off without losing too much light. I think the MTEC bulbs and going with 6k should accomplish this. I just don't trust generic bulbs such as the ones on eBay and even from DDM tuning. I have no doubt that those bulbs would work but I heard of those dying on you early and if those bulbs are already 50-75 dollars and you have to buy another one. Well thats the price of one MTEC 6k bulb. |

I've dealt with DDMTuning before. Never had any problems with their retrofit kits. Can't comment though on the D1S bulb though since I never went through the change. I actually just ordered a hid kit for my wife's car that should be arriving this week. Either way, you can't beat their prices. They're shipping is a bit slow though IMO, but I was never in a rush.

http://suvlights.com/product_info.php?products_id=322 They are a bit expensive, almost twice as much as most others, but I had them on my GTI with euro headlights and they were very impressive. I will be going with these when my stock lights go out. |

If you're looking for a slight hint of blue then I would recommend going w/ the MTEC 6k. With the Philips 6k capsule you'll have a hint of purple hue.
