The Berk is probably the best sounding and loudest. If you want to save some money, you can just gut the muffler, or cut it out and install a straight pipe, but it might not sound as nice as the purposefully engineered berk unit.
Technically speaking though, no axleback at all (a cutout of some sort) would be the loudest

I was there with him. I really, really like the way his car sounds with that custom setup that he has. Its really not that loud IMO (I've been in extremely loud cars before), and now its got me thinking about doing a similar setup. The only thing is, he still has stock downpipes whereas I have catless downpipes so I'm sure mine will be even louder lol.

Im running stock DPs with custom 2 1/2" mid and axleback (muffler, secondary cats, and resonator delete). I love the sound it makes. The links on my sig will give you an idea about what it sounds like but cameras don't do it justice. Also this car is my DD.
