E92 335i has oil Temp display instead of MPG

N54 probably doesnt run at multiple temps like the N52 and to help prevent people pushing the turbos when oil is too cold.

great find!!

definetly more necessary with the turbo motor vs the old NA stuff

I won't buy a 335 though, I'd miss the mpg gauge

Nice touch, it might hurt to watch the mpg gauge...
And yuucch to the trim! I sure hope the M-pack interior will be available!
And it needs a 300kph speedometer.

The way I read "The Newly designed instrument units on the petrol engined versions also include an oil temerature gauge..." would indicate on all gasoline (petrol) coupes not just the 335i or am I reading too much into it?

Also, paddle shifters on STEPTRONIC tranny and faster shifts than what other STEP - all others including 5,6 & 7 STEPS?

Will I have to trade in my 6er (with STEP) to get this faster shifting STEP

Man I want that little pocket on the left side of the dash under the LCM...
I don't think there are enough cubby holes in the car to stash your "stash" in...

US model probably wont have it, just like on all other BMW models.
US gets extra knee protection instead

I wonder if we can fit this E92 instrument cluster to an E90 to get the oil temp?

I like it :-)

It's similar to the M3 :-) I don't really concerntrate much on my fuel consumption needle, as my DIESEL just keeps going and going and going. I hardly see petrol pumps...

I like it too.

I do not think the mpg guage in the e90 is useful anyways. I'd rather have an oil guage in my e90 than that ever moving left & right mpg thing!

Looking at the new coupe, the temperature guage seems to be back. :rocks:

If you mean the engine temp, no, it´s not there. There are only two such gauges. One is fuel, the other is oil temp.

it's sad that most people don't know the difference between coolant/water temp and oil temp. i can't wait when someone starts complaining why their e92 takes so long to heat up compared to other cars.
