Koni adjustables question.

So, I just got my Koni yellows in and noticed that the rears are internally adjustable. How exactly do you adjust these after installing them? My other cars that I'vehad with yellows had the knob to adjust them. Thanks in advance

You have to remove them from the car to adjust them.

Wow, what a pain that's gonna be. Lol. So my next question is, how exactly do you adjust these? The instructions are vague and there's no dial to tell if your let's say soft, medium or firm.

Certain vendors sell the externally adjustable rears. I purchased mine from HP Autowerks. Still sort of a pain to adjust, but you don't have to remove them to do so.

If you can, i would send them back to the retailer and find a vendor who sells the externally adjustable versions. I thought Koni stopped making the internally adjustable ones ages ago.

Returning the rears sounds like a good plan. The externally adjustable rear dampers are slightly more expensive than the internally adjustable rear dampers, but worth the extra cost unless you plan to set them and forget them. Problem is not all Koni dealers carry the externally adjustable rear dampers and those dealers that carry only the internally adjustable dampers don't do a good job of explaining that the internally adjustable rears have to be removed from the car to me adjusted.

Does anyone have a exact part number for the externally rear adjustable? I'm not at my computer and the guy at mod bargains needs it.

From what I'm gathering, the 3 series Koni rears are what I'm looking for, no?

Here is a link to them on the HP Autowerks website, but I don't see a part number. http://www.hpashop.com/Koni-External...11275SPTCK.htm

Yes I believe they are the same as the 3 series rears. However, they also come internally adjustable. You need to make sure what you are purchasing is externally adjustable. That's why I would purchase them from a vendor who specifies that they are externally adjustable like HP Autowerks.
