JB4 ISO Feedback?

If I have G5 with: downpipes, full exhaust, DCI, cp/bov, (in addition to running 30/70 e85) and all my logs came back perfect, is it worth it to upgrade to ISO and possibly risk experiencing problems with running lean and other fueling issues? I don't plan on upgrading my turbos. My car is running strong and I'm not so clear on what I can gain besides a little smoothness with ISO. There are still problems with the cover distorting with the extra heat, correct?

Current firmware available: ISO18 alpha

Can those who have experience with ISO help me out? Hopefully some people who have upgraded from G5 without ISO.

That's why I went back to stock and sold my mods. Stock power really is pretty good.

The ISO doesnt necessarily give more power, but supposedly adds smoothness. Can we keep this thread on track please?

Correct, you don't necessarily get any more power. However, it does smooth things out and the DME will no longer have any control of the turbos...the JB4 will and no longer be fighting for that control..

This really isn't that big of a decision though. Take note of the diodes orientations (take a pic with your phone), remove them with a soldering iron, and upload the appropriate firmware. Give it a try for a week or two, if you don't like it...put em back and re-install the non ISO software and you're good to go.

Don't forget to change your settings in the drop down menu on the settings page.

My N55 has been completely transformed by doing the ISO mod. There had been a hesitation in power delivery and poor idle when ambient temps were low. All issues have been remedied and power delivery is much smoother throughout the power band.

I cannot speak to the improvement(s) for the N54.

Ok, I will give it a try. What setting do I need to change?

I do get slight hesitation, but I don't have anything to compare it to. I will let you know if I experience a significant difference.

Interesting!! I had similar issues in the winter here and ended up removing the jb4 until temperatures go up. I might give it a go, I miss the power!

Drove a bit more today, the uneven idle issue occurred again but wasn't nearly as bad as before. I'm still calling this a 100% win. If you have an N55 and are having any issues with your JB4, do the ISO mod.

I have an N54, I don't have any issues with my JB4, and I don't live in cold weather where my JB4 gets strange symptoms.

I noticed you had an N54, but the thread title didn't specify so I thought it would be OK to post my impressions for any N55's that read the thread. I'm also interested to see what improvements the ISO is for the N54.

No worries. N54 or N55 is fine and will help other members down the line.
