Eisenmann Quad-Tip Catback Exhaust!

Wow!!! Finally what I've been waiting for... a full cat-back exhaust with quad-tips. Oh sh!t look at the price!

http://www.eisenhaus.com/ehprice.php...45&Submit.y=13

About $2,200 for a cat-back quad-tip exhaust (exhaust + "optional bolt-on pipes"). I feel a coronary coming on!

That's exactly what I was thinking. For that kind of money, that would really bother me. I bet in the winter it looks weird because 90% of exhaust fumes will come out of the tail pipe closer to the muffler. Maybe not.

Also need to purchase the rear bumper addition. It looks just okay, not great.

that second set of tips looks pretty cheesy and added on to me,
I bet a local muffler shop could do that for 20 bucks

So, you pay close to $1500 but what is the performance gain?

Look at the photo of the undercarriage. Looks like the standard Eisenmann exhaust with simply another pipe coming out of the same muffler to give that "quad" look.

With the pipe coming out ot the mufler, while looking cool, this is not too much different then bolting a vlower to the hood, because it looks like you have a super charger. a $2,200 mod had better have some seriors astetic value, or strong performance enhancement. or both would be nice too.

Yeah what was I thinking? Seriously though, that's $2200 I could be spending as a down payment for a new M3. I'm even fairly sure it comes with Quad Pipes.

KAS! KAS! KAS!

Ok, maybe not as bad as KAS, but it does seem like a useless mod. Convince me.

exhausts on bmw's won't give many gains in hp. expect very little, if anything. if you want an exhaust, buy it based on the way it sounds, looks, and it's quality.

I am wondering what different between Cat- back full exhaust and only the
quad-tips. I think it got only Cat which is useding for air polution, so there no difference for quanlity and sound or performance, right?

I believe the cat-back exhaust system means that the aftermarket exhaust starts after the catalytic converter. It has flanges that can be unbolted so that no welding or cutting is necessary. Whether you get just the muffler (whether Quad or not), you have to cut the pipe, remove the stock muffler, and weld the aftermarket one in.

Yeah I personally, don't think it's worth the price. It appears totally cosmetic. Your paying $1,100 for an extra piece of metal that connects to the original exhaust and on top of that we don't even know if it has any sort of functionality. But, hey if you want to look cool, then shell out the dough for the change. Does the eisenmann page, tell you what rear bumper you can purchase for the quads and if so, the price of that rebumper retrofit?

PS - Did anyone here get the Eisenmann Sport Exhaust? I am curious to hear how that sounds, be it that I have the racing exhaust and want to make a sound comparison. Thank You.
