Gee, thanks for rubbing it in. I'll get mine at some point I guess by taking it in and pointing out to them that um, there's no net. Perhaps I'll even use your photo. I also go back and forth on the meguiar's ultimate detailer spray and the turtle wax ice detailer spray. I think I'm about to go back to the meguiar's and I'll have you know I have the same bottle in the same spot, though it often rattles around and falls over due to no net.

Oh, can you also show me a picture of your no charge comfort access?

Greg: interesting viewpoints after being away! wait you don't have a little side trunk net like worra posted? I have one of those two

the 135is is actually my 'bigger' car as it feels quite large after I drive the TT.....but I totally agree that it is a great size. I don't think I can drive anything larger.....it would make no sense to drive anything larger!

the fact is, a car like that Accord you drove is a gutless appliance meant for peeps who simply do not care about what they are driving. Our cars seem specifically made for people who really want to enjoy their drive. they seem to have lots of enthusiasm built into it.

my daily commute is 120 miles/day there and back....so I'm getting a LOT of seat time in the car these days.

No, for some reason I have no cargo net. Posted pics of it somewhere earlier in this thread I think as Rick wanted to see. At some point I'll go in and demand it, I'm just worried they'll have to rip out and replace the whole ride side liner that I'm not sure I want done.

I've always said on the size, that the 1 is the perfect, most efficient size. It's juuuust big enough to put people in the back if you need to, and I wouldn't want or need it or any car even 1 inch bigger. Disappointing that they added like 3+ inches to the 2-series. That makes it the same size as an e46 sedan.

Granted, I wasn't expecting much with the new accord, but my friend was considering getting one in the next few weeks coming out of a 318ti, and I told her after my struggles with the size, that it's gigantic and a pain to get around town.

Just glad to be back in my car, though I have to clean my shoes thoroughly after the lion incident before they go in the car. Lion crap is a pain to get out of our floormats.

I reckon you'll pass me in mileage soon, but curious if you have any observations, thoughts, feedback after having the car for a lil while longer and having that long commute?

honestly to me the TT is THE perfect size....the problem is that the backseat is requires skeletal compression and fracture in order to adequately fit someone back there! lol!

How long is that TT? I do agree, so I will preface it by saying this is the smallest car I would want that can could somewhat comfortably fit 4. You also get a whole lot of storage space to carry stuff with the back seats down, having filled my old one to the brim once to move a couple states away.

Unrelated, hope you finally see your sales guy was completely wrong about a 2014 1-series. New 2 series will be out in spring as 2014 model. Neener neener. That's why I didn't mess around or wait and ordered mine in February. Wasn't leaving anything to chance...like whether or not I'd get a cargo net.

Thanks for the offer Greg! I'll probably pass for now... I hadn't mentioned this before but I have adopted the practice of not adding any more BMW logos to the car. Sunscreen, floor mats, and license plate frame are all sans BMW logos. I might break down and get a BMWCCA license plate frame... i'm not super pleased with the plain black SS one I got from Bavarian Autosport.

Today was the first real experience driving on rainy roads with the Michelin PSSs... I am very impressed with their traction in the wet! Next purchase is probably going to be winter tires/wheels... perhaps a square setup with 17" Sport Edition SE16 wheels with Michelin Xi3 205/50R17s...

The oyster interior on black exterior looks really nice on a vert!

No worries, as I'm with you on many accounts, though I'm even more against adding more M's (valve stems, license plate frame, 1M floormats) since it's not really an M car. I considered getting the license plate frame that said Ultimate Driving Machine since that seemed somewhat less douchey and redundant than the BMW one, but will probably just keep the dealer one, though it does appear to cut off several parts of the plate. I can't justify spending the $70 or so IND is offering for color-matched painted frames, though one in mineral grey would be interesting to see.

You can get another set of the stock valve caps I think for literally a couple of dollars online or at the dealer, or I could probably just mail you mine once I swap 'em, since we're in a mineral grey gang. Can't have you driving stemless!

I had the M license plate frame in the shopping cart, but finally decided it would only be proper to install on a true M car, not cars with M sport options and accessories. My boss occasionally drives his 1M in to work... I thought it would look a bit douchy to have my car with an M plate frame parked next to a true 1M in Valencia Orange.

The tire swap at my BMW dealer was a real fiasco. Multiple trips, dirty seats, damaged wheel, missing caps, tons of grease all over the outside of my new tires, etc. In an effort to recover the situation, the service manager agreed to accommodate all of my requests... finding the missing valve stem caps was by far the easiest and least expensive one! So I do still have my grey plastic stock caps...

I almost ordered those with the car, but after looking at more black car photos with them, I think I'll keep the stock ones. Adds a bit of contrast to the front. Already has black slats anyhow. That "diffusor" is the first thing to go.

Yes it is. I was going to get the exclusive black with the blue stitching, but decided to go with something different.

Wow, never seen carbon black with oyster before. Looks amazing, in spite of what that a-hole did to it.

I also see you swapped out the antenna for the "sport" one, which seems to be a must have "mod" on the convertibles. I know Kouper back there is happier than all hell too since he seems to be the only active 135is convertible member on here. Welcome to the club!

Actually, I saw someone in the forum had the sport antenna on their car and it looked pretty good, so that was the first thing I bought for the car when I picked it up.

Well, I know what to get you for christmas now! A whole M gift basket of the M tire valve stem covers, the M license plate frame, and the 1M floormats which also have an M on them to maximize your interior Ms as well. The M is for Mineral? ha! Guess I should throw in a bag of M&Ms, too.

Worra, quit being so mean to the poor diffusor. Just enjoy your cargo net. You think you'll go with a BMW CF one, some other CF one, or try painting/plastidipping/doing something else to your existing one first perhaps? Not sure how much of your issue is with the look of the color/material or the size and puniness of it. Or both I guess.

Here are the pics from the accident. My biggest fear when I took it to the bmw shop was that they were going to tinker with the programming of the car and screw up the performance.

Wow, I would have died. Was there any damage to the front wheel, or did it survive unscathed? People are such awful drivers these days, especially around here, that I now find myself finding the quietest, least populated roads I can to and from work to avoid as many people as possible.

My 2008 135 was pretty much destroyed in a very similar situation to yours, so I feel your pain.
