Recent BMW Wheel & Tire Insurance cost

Hi All...new poster here

I've done some research already but I wanted to get an idea of what you've paid for the BMW W&T insurance in the last 3 months.

I expect to take delivery some time in the next couple of days and I'm 99% sure I want this since the roads here are a nightmare

My CA quoted $1390 with a $50 deductible for 36 months. Is this reasonable? Should/can I negotiate a lower cost? What did you pay?

I want to say I was quoted around $1500 in March when I got my car.
I didn't get it but yes I'm guessing you can negotiate it down. I would shoot for $1,000.

I wont do it again.

You have to lay out the money initially for the repairs and submit all kinds of paperwork which gets messed up about %75 of the time which only further delays your payback.

They do not replace/repair dented rims...the rim must not hold air otherwise its considered cosmetic. Your fillings can fall out the vibration is so bad, they wont fix/replace it.

I paid something like $1500 and in the past few years have only used $800 in legit claims, no rims because the insurance sucks, just tires. Ive taken about $300 out of pocket for rim repairs.

You probably wont stick with runflats, so consider the prices of the tires you will actually be putting on the car. The tire must also be relatively new to be approved for replacement.

Your call.

Are you sure your plan is the BMW Wheel & Tire plan or another one that was offered at your dealership?

The roads here are horrible (as I'm sure you already know) so I'm particularly interested in heading off this nightmare.

I'm picking it up this week
