JB4 issue 1st gear boost limiter won't go above 4psi?

Today I played with the JB4's 1st gear boost limiter (speedo menu 13) for the first time and initially set it to 1k RPM which limits boost to 4psi in 1st gear and worked fine. But then when I set it to anything above 1k RPM such as 1.5k (6psi) or 2k (8psi) the boost still limits to just 4psi! I restarted the car and turned the limiter on and off but it still refuses to go above 4psi when I set it on again. Strangely the limiter will do under 4psi though as I saw 2psi when I set it to 500 RPMs so its not stuck just wont do anything above 4psi...anyone had this issue before?

To be clear I can turn the limiter off and hit full boost as normal again, the limiter is just wont go above 4psi when I set it higher than 1k. I'm on map 5 and don't know what version my JB4 is other than I bought it new from Burger in July this year so must be fairly up to date and I assume its a JB5 G5 ISO (but I also noticed today my JB4 speedo menu only goes to 14 instead of 15...so no 3rd gear boost limiter)

You need to go over to Burger Tuning's "other" website. You will get your questions answered without any issues.

If you bought the JB4 new, there should have been a paper with website links to get you going.

Yeah I'm aware of that other website and even google searched it to find related threads about my issue with no luck, but I'm not a member and really don't want to bother signing up for another forum just for one minor issue lol.

No cable or laptop if I had them I would've been able to say what firmware version my JB4 is in my original post.

Disconnect the AMP connector from the JB4, wait a minute, and then reinstall the AMP connector on the jb4. Turn the car on and access the menu, select map 5, and ensure all of your boost limiters are disabled. then start the car and test drive it. Sometimes the JB4 needs a hard reset.

You mean that JB4 power cable that goes into the green power connector with the orange cables yea? Should I just pull it from the green connector or the orange cable?

And I noticed my post was confusing but I can turn the limiter off and hit normal boost fine, my issue is just with the limiter not going above 4psi at any setting above 1k. Funny thing I'm running map 5 now, wonder if that could be a cause?

No. I mean disconnect the JB4 board completely. There is a black AMP connector that connects the wiring harness to the JB4. Disconnect that, and then follow the reset procedure I told you.

Or you can post your question here in the support section and you'll have ALOT more support since this is BMS's forum.

Cool thanks for the advice. I'll sign up for N54tech and try there, I should've been signed up anyway since I do have a JB4 lol.
