By ASC (anti skid control) I think you mean. DTC. ...BMW calls it DTC (Dynamic Traction Control) in BMW-speak.

http://www.bmw.com/com/en/insights/t...n_control.html

To turn it partly off just hit the DSC button quickly. To totally turn off the traction control AND (dynamic)stability control system(DSC)... press and hold the button in until you see the yellow (circluar)warning symbol on(or car skidding in yellow - it depends on your car's software level) the dash come on. When the light is constantly on... you have NO electronic nannies to save your butt! No DTC nor DSC. You may now slide the car around.

I wrote this almost two years ago: The vent between the seats is an air return vent. It allows air out of the cabin when the windows and top are up. It does not blow air into the cabin. The vents under the front seats provide both heating and cooling to the back seats both in auto mode or when the fan is being controlled manually.

Regarding the convertible mode, you do not need to turn that on. If the air handling system is in auto mode and the top is opened, the convertible mode activates automatically. That adjusts temperatures (both heating and cooling) based on sensors located in various parts of the car, the sunlight hitting the car, and the speed of the car.

The automatic sound control can be adjusted using the little music symbol next to the cd slot. I keep at 1/6 as I find at that setting I'm never tempted to adjust the volume.

Enjoy the new car!
