Finally got my tips done, added black lines too

I still have people asking me what I did about tips for my Akra.

I went with 90mm CF tips from Cyba that were designed for the M5. I was worried about them being too big, but I think they actually look good.

Some pics....

Looks awesome. Why did you have to get tips for your Akra?

Looks great! mind providing a link for the tips? I wonder if they'd fit over my meistershaft.

did you order blacklines from schmiedmann? I am wondering how long they'll take, I ordered a set a couple days ago.

I didnt like the Akra tips. The titanium tips seem to yellow. The CF tips for the 1M look like ABS plastic pipes cut to fit, really ugly IMO. Plus they have a metal tag screwed on with their logo. The CF tips for the rest of their applications are much nicer and actually very similar to the Cyba tips I have. According to them the other CF tips in their line up would not fit the 1M so I went looking elsewhere.

I dont know a link for the tips, I didnt purchase them myself... search cyba M5 carbon fiber 90mm tips.

Yes they are from Schmiedmann. I ordered online on Thanksgiving and the package was at my door on Tuesday. Took 5 days and there as no activity on the tracking info the entire weekend. Some people commented about filling out a customs form but I never had to fill anything out. I questioned the purchase but once on the car you can really see a difference. The pics dont show them off as well as they look in person. It goes well with my matte cf/black accents. Fits the theme.

I doubt they'll fit over the Meisterschaft. It's got pretty big tips, yes?

Pape: Are the tips 90mm outer or inner diameter?

I'm looking for something to get rid of the ugly tips on the stock exhaust and I'm not yet ready/decided regarding an A/E exhaust... Although I'm leaning towards the Meister...

I'd like to know the same thing

If you nab the Meistershaft, it is quite an aggressive system. I opted to keep my stock mids cause the axleback is enough for me. The car barks and gurgles like a rabid dog with it. I LOVE IT! But it's not for everyone.

That tips & Diffuser combo looks really great! Whos is the diffuser?

(Why do manufacturers insist on molding in that nasty little rectangular area to leave their scent trail)

Because they're all either RevoZport Raze or copies of it.

At 1395$ or similar in € over here, IMO Revosport and the likes have no brand appeal whatsoever that would justify deforming their products for! FI Vorsteiner and others have simply stick on (and take off) brand exposure.

Sorry OP for zooming in on this here, still best looking set of rear mods!

I really like the looks. I fully agree with you about akra falling short on the 1m tips compared to other applications...

My question is the following: how did you know the Cyba tips were going to fit into the akra-- did you have to do any adaptations?

I would personally like the akra M3 ti tips -- I wonder if it would be doable to adapt these tips to 1M akra exhaust

can someone here tell me if such thing is doable??

thanks…

Id rather not comment on the diffuser because I am not happy at all with the fitment. The thing flat out sucks. Dont even get me started on the rectangular imprint. I had to peel their tag off that area. I almost didnt post these pics because I knew I would get asked about the diffuser.

I have had a Slek diffuser and that fit properly!! Ill slam the diffuser manufacturer once I see they cant fix their product.

I didnt know, I took measurements and figured it would fit. I design/fabricate/engineer things all the time for myself for the house/cars/etc so even if they didnt fit I knew I could make them fit. I didnt have to modify anything, just took a good amount of time to adjust them so they sit right.

I like the Blacklines a bunch. Switch to them on my 07 335i, such an improvement on that car.

NOPE I went with Scorpp for perfect fitment, amazing carbon quality, amazing craftsmanship, ZERO resin issues, ZERO weave issues. Highly recommended, seriously I was beyond amazed with it when I opened the box and unwrapped the pieces. Everyone who has seen them has only praised them. I had many people complain to me about the Mode stuff, both people who saw it on my car and others who had them on their cars.

Anyone want a Mode Diffuser real cheap? This was the second one I tried from Mode, both were a huge piece of shit. They actually made me pay to return the 1st defective piece.
