If you look at most fuel cell designs you will notice that a breather is quite important. I have a vaccum hose coming out of my WW cap to the wheel well for ventilation.
That's pretty clever. Otherwise you build up pressure and get air in the lines. I'm sure Advan has this covered, I'm just keen to see pics of what it looks like and where it's located.

Can you post pics of this? I just open my cap every 1-2 days to release all the pressure

No. I just used the spare cap with the hole in it that came with my WW kit and wedged a piece of the meth line inside the vacuum hose so it fit snug. Mine is a touch thicker than this.

You don't have a spare cap because you don't have a JB!!

Engine fire

Have you guys not seen the US forum about the washer tank falling to bits from meth use, you may get away with it for a while and you may save a buck buy cutting a few corners. But what happens when something goes bad and you have an engine fire. The insurance man will ask the question, engine fire but it has steel fuel lines and it all looks fine i wonder who will pay . I have seen many car fires during my racing days. How do you put out the fire piss on it i dont think so, how many of you have a extinguisher in you car
Do your self a big favor and put your name down for the Advan E82 in boot Meth tank and then mount your pump in the boot area as well, You should all get that Meth crap out of you bonnet area, just weight and see some poor bugger will loose there car from a meth fire soon

Advan will no longer fit under bonnet meth kits from today on

I agree with you Peter. I don't like the idea of running flammable liquids so close to the hot side of my engine bay, and knowing me, I'll probably have more than the recommended 50/50 60/40 mixture in there so it's a disaster just waiting to happen. Plus, it gets bloody hot up here in QLD!! It's not for me.

I think the concept you have come up with is quite brilliant, I'm looking forward to seeing it. I've posted a couple questions I think on the last page, I'm hoping Justin will jump on here and address them soon. Mainly to do with the tank sump and the breather/vent.

As a performance car shop the last thing i need is for one of my customers cars to have an engine fire, i already worry about the few kits we have fitted over the last year or so since seeing the US forum. I will call all of my customers and advise them of this issue, a car fire is just the worst thing that can happen to any car enthusiast

meth hose

One more issue, we have seen two hose failures in the last few weeks, remember the meth system runs at 200psi + and this is with a push together hose system.
What we have found is the black hose is not as good as the clear hose when it comes to radiated heat.
I don't mean to scare you all just be careful and use your brain.
this stuff is dangerous.

Guys, my methanol kit (trunk mounted) has blown pipes on more than one occasion, emptying the whole tank into the engine bay.

This is with the tubes supplied by Vishnu.

I'm so paranoid driving with meth now, even though i did everything 'the right way'.

Get uprated piping boys, dont trust the shit vishnu supply.

It's not worth losing your car over.

The black hose that you are referring to is it the stock WW hose?
