Dave has been working on a couple different things... I think a strut tower reinforcement plate and a strut tower brace (I think). Both for fairly cheap $$ too.

Yup plates just got lazercut, I need to test fit them on a car before I cut more, they will allow alot more front camber while keeping stock struts and strut mounts.

I hate to be pessimistic, but do we run if it snows? After this morning I had to ask... damn winter.

Actually it would probably be fun... just slap on the winters and go at it. Working the course would suck pretty badly though with the cold and all the cones that would be hit.

light snow (non accumulating) - we run. Any accumulation.. it's the same as lightning, and we don't run.

I wouldn't want to be a course worker seeing a car sliding at me, with no chance of stopping.

true. I was taking pictures of my dad autocrossing in the rain last weekend. He spun out coming right towards me and That was scary, screw that ish in the snow.

I did have a spotter (mom) who just ran away screaming obscenities and I was plenty of distance away and on a curb, but it didnt look like that through a zoom lens. just wanted to clarify before anyone thought I was reckless with my life.

Wow... 265 all around. You certainly will have no excuses come the 31st, so we expect good runs. No more bitching about the greasy tires...

Are those going to be dedicated autoX tires with the CSLs as your everyday rims?

That's the plan. I'll drive to and from the events on them so I don't have to do the swap at the site. Now I just need to get about 500 miles on them in the next two weeks.

Even with the square setup, I still need to do the driver mod. So, I've still got an excuse for bad times.

Overall, the setup on the car is fairly different now. The 31st may just be a learning curve day.

That's awesome Mike! Looks great! You are going to have a blast.

Now, I'm wondering if you get the lazies, as I've done in the past, not changing the wheels after an event, since those a street tires as well.

I hate to say it, but with the poor road conditions around here, I'm already liking the extra 0.5" worth of extra side wall. And, that after only about 15 miles of driving on the 18s.

Yeah, and another excuse is that the new wheels look pretty nice, too. I've got to get my truck back in one piece before it actually snows. I'll be going nowhere with NT05s and I'm not buying winters for the M.
