Ipad mount for our car?
As the title suggests. Is there any ipad mount for our car? Just wondering bc I just got an ipad mini and wouldn't mind using it as my navi on longer trips.
Btw I have searched before starting this topic. |

The only iPad mount BMW makes is meant for the rear seat and attaches to the back of a front seat.
However, there are many aftermarket windshield mounts for iPads and iPhones. The best reviewed windshield mount I found for a mini (or any 7" tablet) is actually very decently priced: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B004M8ST36

This is the slickest one I've seen.
http://www.niteize.com/collection/steelie.asp Edit: Doesn't look like they sell the parts separately anymore. You'd need the car kit ball with the pedestal kit socket. I don't think the socket that comes with the car kit is strong enough for a tablet. Though you may be okay if it is only the 7 inch ipad. Last edited by foghat; 03-22-2013 at 09:38 PM.. |

Thanks for all the responses especially the "idrive". Unfortunately it seems like our little sports car does not have an alternative option.
Good to know, but if anyone has anything please help a brother out. Thx |

I'd get in touch with the steelie guys and see if you can buy the tablet socket separately.
