2013 BMW 135i  [0.00]
Well it sounds great, looks fast, but Id really rather see someone transform a 1er into an extreme modded track car while keeping most of the 1er styling and bodywork stock so it doesnt look and feel like a cramped tin can with a bunch of barebones electronics on the inside. I understand the reasoning behind this and the weight reduction issues. I just know id never want to even think about driving something like that.

Show me a car with such modded improvements ready to be a DD and ill be very impressed.

Suspension: 4x double wishbones, pivot points integrated in cage,
KW Suspensions damper, 3x adjustable,
magnesiumalloy wheelmounts, ZV System

Wheels: BBS magnesiumalloy forged rims, front: 10x18; rear: 10,5x18

Brakes: Sicom carbon fibre/ceramic discs without venting,
Teves 4-channel racing-ABS

Electronics: ECU M880, display, logger, powermodule (everything Motec)

I guess because the M3 has that sweet na 4l V8 engine and the 1 series offers "only" a turbocharged 3l straight 6. If the 1 series m coupe would have the same engine I bet BMW would have chosen that one for DTM.

I think you need 4 Doors for the DTM

I think that was the reason for Audi to Switch from the TT to the A4
