Covered under warranty, no questions just 'we will have a new one for you by tomorrow, book it in anytime it will only take 20mins'.

I get great service from my dealer unlike qship... Mate, if I were you I wouldn't have paid!
Could become a common problem as i had to have mine replaced before Christmas!!

As a footnote to my earlier comments, I just spoke to David from Westside (that's Wess-syeed for the Snoop deciples) about the Performance Pack email that came out yesterday (too much for too little in my mind)but while I had him on the phone I noted the door rattle is still around. Before I could ask about it, he mentioned he could book me in next Tuesday with a loan car. They'll also have a look at my other concerns regarding increased fuel use, etc. Good service. I hope it gets fixed this time.

Great news mate! I just got back from having my rear light replaced. Apparently they need to connect to it to prove to BMW Aus something broke to claim it under warranty... Scary for those with tunes.

As I didn't think they needed to look into the computer just to replace a light. Anyway, nobody mentioned the intake (maybe they didn't open the bonnet?) but I was told about the new performance kit which is coming into stock for $3900 installed.

Yep, $4K, although apparently if you get it done before the end of the month you get 5% off. Wow! Only $3,800 for 15kW more power!

I'm contemplating getting the BMW Performance Side Skirts during my next service. The quotes I've been getting are around $1150-$1200 painted and fitted. I thought about getting the parts from overseas but they are US$560 + shipping + getting painted and fitted here. Probably be less hassle for me to get it done during service. What do you guys think? Or should I hang out for something else?
