TPMS
Upon starting the car ealier this week the TPMS indicated I had low tire pressure. I checked and one of the tires was low, down to 26 pounds. Refilled to 36. Later checked the tire to find it had a nail in the tread. Had that fixed with a patch. My TPMS did not indicate which tire was low. I checked with another 135i owner who has the same model year 135i and his TPMS will show which tire is low. Neither of us have I-Drive so not sure why the difference. Only thing I can think of is that he had a software change due to the HPFP and the software change included more than just the HPFP issue.

I had the TPMS warning light up and it did show the tire in question.
But I thought I read somewhere on these boards that it didn't let you know which tire. Apparently it does now, which is great. Call the dealer and ask if it is a software update. miiipilot

So last night it got pretty cold, which of course means time for the warnings. This morning the wife was running out for something. She comes back in after starting the car and says it says the right front tire is low. I looked at her and said that's weird, as it doesn't say which tire, just low pressure.
Apparently when they updated the software for the HPFP replacement a couple weeks ago we got the ability to show which tire is low. What a great improvement. That's probably why some cars have the ability to display the tire and some don't. Non I Drive by the way. |

So which cars/SW update can tell you which tire is low? This is the first I have heard of it. Might be time to let the air out of one tire and see.... humm...
