Style 67s (from e46 M3)

Anyone running the BMW style 67s on an e82? I'm thinking they might look pretty good on a space grey metallic.

They come in 8x18 et47 which I think would allow a square or staggered setup. Anyone know what width tire I could one could run w/ this set up?

I'd be coming from style 264 w/ sport suspension which are F 7.5x18 et49 & R 8.5x18 et52 which uses F 215/40-18 & R 245/35-18 but can run wider both front & rear.

Looking at 1010tires & tirerak here are the differences:

Front:
Going from 7.5x18 ET49 to 8x18 ET47 = 4mm less inner clearance and extend 8mm wider out so less outer clearance.
Tire wise stock RFTs in 215/40 = about 8.5" to 8.8"
Wider tires in 225/40 would take it out to 8.9 to 9.1" (PS2 ZPs)
Wonder if I could fit 245/40 all around = 9.7" section width.

Rear:
Going from 8.5x18 ET52 to 8x18 ET47 would = 11mm more inner clearance and 1mm more outer clearance.
Tires - For the rear it sounds like I'd have no problem running a 245/35 but not sure if I could run the wider 255s. According to tirerack they'd need an 8.5 width rear rim.

Wonder if I could fit 245/40 all around = 9.7" section width.

I had them on my stock 128i. They rubbed pretty bad in the rear. Here's a shot with them on. Pretty much undriveable. No clue if I had a square or staggered setup

245/40 is too tall, 235/40 or 245/35 would be the sizes to consider.

So think they would rub running F 215 or 225/40-18 and R 245/35?

Or 245/35-18 all around?

It will fit, may need a small 5mm spacer up front to clear the strut. Run 225/40, 235/40, or 245/35.

It's hard to say until you try it, all i can say is I'm running 225/40 18 7.5" wide wheel et 37 front and 235/40 et 40 rear and i get rubbing on right side rear only. I don't know if it's my alignment or slight difference in the fenders or what.
Personally I would try 235/40 square pss or ps2, start there and if you find you have more room try 245/35 next time double check 245 will work on an 8" wheel though, I have 235 zll star specs and I find its adequate grip in the rear but i can definitely produce oversteer if I want.

I forget what the size was, but that wheel's offset is way too low for this car unless you want to stretch your tires. Once I put on some higher offset Apex wheels that were 18x9.5", et62, the rubbing went away

So 245/35 square set up w/ 5mm spacer up front might work. Hmmm

I've always liked these wheels but I dunno how good they'd look on a E82 / E88.

They are for the e46 M3 which I've always thought our e82 coupe borrowed some styling from. It's the stepchild of the 2002 + e46 M3
