Remove Corrosive Bird Droppings from clear coat.

I'm in need of some guidance here. I was detailing the Benz and Bimmer and on the trunk of the Benz is a silver dollar size imprint of a past bird dropping.
I have used
Turtle Wax Car wash /
Rain-X Bug Remover /
50/50 water & vinegar solution.
Meguiar's Ultimate Polish Pre-Waxing Glaze

but it didn't help.

I think its gone into the clear coat. Any detailing Guru's have any Idea of what I could use to get this out?

Had the same situation with my parents crimson red cabriolet.
I tried using Meg's #105 but that helped a little. I stepped down to a coarser compound. An ultra compound should be fine for that kindof etching. After an ultra compound (I think 3m makes a good one that I use in these cases) then use a polish and finally wax that lil b.
PM me if you would like to talk about this more.

I think #105 would be a bit too course for this. I'm kinda trying to find the least abrasive route.

Did a little research and I'm thinking of using Menzerna SF 4500 Final Finish
followed by Menzerna Power Lock Sealant

anybody for this type of correction?

Well I went out to left field and bought the Adam's swirl & haze remover , machine polish , and Wolfgang sealant. I figured if I'm gonna half to bustout the PC polisher I'm gonna do the whole car.. Once some supplies gets here I'll post the pics as a work in progress.

I'm gonna try the nanoskin autoscrub instead of claybar.. I've heard good things.
Wish me luck!

I removed some using the Wolfgang claybar and spray. The Wolfgang sealer is awesome.

Not a PRO, but if not too abrasive compounds don't work, just use Meg's Ultimate Compound. It's not THAT aggressive.. clear coat is thicker than you think.
Worst case senario, sand paper. But I doubt etched bird poop will need sanding.
Good luck!

You will get it out out with your polisher and your new polish. M#105 would have done the trick but your Adam's equivalent will get that out.

Update

Got all the droppings out with two passes of orange pad & swirl & haze remover. Finished up with machine polish then covered with Wolfgang Sealant 3.0

Just got to say, the sealant is by far way easier to apply and remove and any wax compound I've used before.
It looks amazing! Lots of depth.
I'll post pictures tomorrow.

Great job. Can't even tell anything occurred there. So you used Adam's swirl and haze remover on your Porter Cable? What speed did you run it at, and did you press down very hard?

I've got a couple of bird poop etchings on my R32 that I am bound and determined to try and get rid of come next spring.

Oh, and did you use the auto scrub instead of clay bar, and if so what are your impressions?

TIA

I used the PC at speed 5 for the Swirl & Haze remover. same speed with the machine polish.

I used the nanoskin auto scrub and it is very impressive. I got the version before they created a "fine" and "regular" So I'm not sure which it would fall in.

I can tell you make sure you have plenty of detail spray on hand when you use the auto scrub. I went threw a bottle a car. probably used it a speed 3 most of the time.

Thanks, this will be very helpful info when I attack it next spring.

Your Benz now looks amazing. I can tell you're like me in that it's a labor of love when it comes to detailing.

I still have a new bar of clay from Griot's laying around, so after I've burned through that (and having 3 cars that will probably be by Memorial Day) I'm likely to try the auto scrub method. Thanks for the warning about having plenty of speed shine lube spray available once I do.
