Does the LPFP come on when opening the door?

It comes on when you unlock the car. That causes the buzzing sound that you hear

+1 Yup!

Also the other day (with my new SW update) I was detailing my car after driving it home(it had rained). I had the trunk lid open while I was detailing my car. Then I shut the trunk, but then I opened the trunk again(I forgot something in there!) with the switch under the lic plate - as soon as I opened the trunk (with the doors all still unlocked!) the LPFP start to cycle.

When the LPFP cycles it sounds like a fax machine or laser printer warming up.

Anyone else seeing drastically reduced gas mileage since a recent software change? I just had the fuel pump-injectors-sw recall done, and the car is running GREAT. never had a problem, mind you, but decided to break my own "if it ain't broke don't fix it" rule. Maybe it is just that I can't keep from burying my right foot since I got it back, but the average mpg is showing like 13.1 mpg!?
