A Few Snaps Of A UK Bred 135i
I got around to taking some photos of my car this weekend. I had hoped to stop by one of the many pleasant historical places around here for some great scenes but things got in the way...maybe next time.
Anyway, amber deletes are Euro spec headlights before you ask . I haven't finished with her yet, FBO very soon, a front lip and maybe some new wheels. So far... BMW E82 135i N54 Stock UK/Euro Spec Headlamps (no amber) Stock 261M 18" Alloy Wheels - Wet painted BMW Sparking Graphite Metallic Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta Tyres 225/255 Burger Motorsports 10mm Front/12mm Rear Wheel Spacers LCI Tail Lights Depo Light Bar Side Markers Rieger Tuning Rear Diffuser - Purchased in matt black, now custom painted Charcoal Grey Gloss BMW Performance Carbon Fibre Rear Spoiler BMW Performance Black Kidney Grilles BMW Performance Exhaust US Spec (louder) with Resonator Delete BMW N55 Mid-Pipes (no resonator) ETS Front Mount Intercooler Cobb Tuning Stage 1+ Aggressive (UK 94oct) Eibach Pro-Kit Tinted Rear Windows (front is illegal here) To go on... 3" Catless Downpipes 2.5" Catted Mid-Pipes + Resonator iCarbon Front Lip Possibly... 19" Wheels - I fancy some all black BBS LM's Custom coloured and painted gloss grey Rieger diffuser; I wasn't keen on any of the production finishes so I made my own. Thanks! It was a temporary measure to satisfy me until I figured out what rims I wanted but to be honest I really like them; they;re dark enough to look mean but not too dark they you cannot see the shape of them (why I didn't choose black). The wheels are spaced out 10mm from and 12mm rear.
Mod list added to first post . Last edited by Cozy; 07-22-2013 at 04:17 AM.. |

Thanks mate. You'll get to hear it first hand at the next Vineyard meet I hope.
What a compliment, thank you. It's actually Plastidipped rather than painted using a colour that I made with Gun Metal Grey and black Tinter. I ran into problems wrapping it because of the matt finish of the diffuser; the wrap stuck but it looked like it wouldn't be so durable in terkms of adhesion so in this case I'd recommened anyone wishing to wrap their Rieger Diffuser to buy the gloss black painted diffuser so that a wrap has a finish to bond to. Proper paint also wasn't guaranteed to work as this kind of plastic often excreets silicone over time which could cause the paint to flake. The Plastidip worked great with no complaints during the application and despite it's rubbery feel it actually looks as good as standard paint. The Gun Metal Grey is more like a primer colour grey, very light so it needed deepening quite a bit with the tinter. I think over in the U.S you can buy straight Charcoal Grey in rattle cans now which which are only available at Dip Your Car who do not ship overseas; that'd make it easier for anyone over there wanting to do the same. All of the paint was topped with two coats of glossifier. I kind of feel like dipping the whole car pearl white next; it's kind of theraputic. Of course, it's no secret. They cost £60 per wheel inclusive of tax (20%) which translates into around $400 of your finest Australian Dollars or $370 American. I don't know if that's good value but then again the UK isn't cheap! |

Very nice! Gotta love Plasti-Dip!! Best stuff to come out of a rattle can! Looks very similar in color to my Plasti Dipped Anthracite Grey 264's.

Nothing at the front but a slight rub at the back left only over large dips. It was very slight so I reckon stiffer stocks would dial that out.

Thanks Attached below, my friend Thanks man! Update 21st March '14 Since I posted this thread I believe I've achieved all of my goals with it. I got an iCarbon lip, I fitted downpipes, mid-pipes with HJS 200cell cats (although I didn't bother with the resonator) and also some new wheels. It hadn't stopped there as I have an M3 (e92) front sway bar, Whiteline rear subframe inserts and imminent plans to fit coil overs (Bilstein B14), M3 front/rear wishbones and front tension arms. Under the good, aside from the exhaust, Jake from PTF has worked his magic with a ProTune. Think stock to Stage 1, it really is that much of a difference again over OTS Stage 2+; absolutely crazy fast. In pics, this is how it went... VMR V710 |
